Supporting you to find your own answers.
A calm, confidential counselling space in Hildenborough, near Tonbridge in Kent — face to face with free off-road parking on site, or online via Zoom.
Welcome. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor offering compassionate, confidential counselling in a safe and supportive space. I work with people experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, life changes, and other emotional challenges.
My aim is to help you feel heard, understood, and accepted, while supporting you to explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels right for you. My approach is grounded in person-centred counselling, and I also draw on humanistic and psychodynamic perspectives, alongside elements of Internal Family Systems.
I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and I offer a warm, non-judgemental relationship where we can work together towards greater self-understanding, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. My practice is underpinned by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework, and I hold professional insurance.
My work is grounded in person-centred counselling, and I also draw on humanistic and psychodynamic perspectives, alongside elements of Internal Family Systems. Here is a little about each of the approaches I bring to our work together.
Person-centred therapy is a humanistic approach to counselling that focuses on the individual’s own ability to grow, reflect, and make positive changes. Developed by Carl Rogers, it emphasises empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard from the therapist, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood and accepted. This approach encourages people to explore their feelings at their own pace and develop greater self-awareness and confidence.
Humanistic therapy is an approach to counselling that focuses on the whole person and their potential for growth, self-understanding, and positive change. It encourages individuals to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Rather than focusing only on problems or symptoms, humanistic therapy helps people build self-awareness, develop confidence, and make choices that feel meaningful to them.
Psychodynamic therapy is a counselling approach that explores how unconscious thoughts, past experiences, and early relationships can influence a person’s feelings and behaviour. It helps individuals understand patterns in their emotions and relationships, often by looking at unresolved conflicts or difficult experiences from the past. The aim is to increase self-awareness so that people can better understand themselves and make positive changes in their lives..
Internal Family Systems therapy is an approach that views the mind as being made up of different “parts,” each with its own feelings, roles, and needs. It helps people understand and work with these parts in a compassionate way, rather than judging or ignoring them. The aim is to build greater self-awareness, reduce inner conflict, and help individuals feel more balanced and connected to themselves.
You are an expert on yourself. You know your own experiences, feelings, and needs better than anyone else. My role as your therapist is to offer a warm, supportive space where we can gently explore what you are going through together. I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, understand the ways you may respond to them, and begin to discover choices that feel healthier, kinder, and more aligned with the life you want to live.
I support people from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, working through many different challenges, including:
This list is by no means exhaustive — I also support people through many other emotional challenges. If what is troubling you isn’t listed here, you are very welcome to get in touch.
